Inspired Bowls

I scooped up a few bowls at a One Kings Lane sale that left me inspired. These papier-mâché bowls will be perfect catchalls, dessert servers, and party pieces for the home. The colors that fade from light to dark are entrancing.

I cannot wait to open these up and use them around the house.

And the prices were great. A serious steal.

Spring Fun for I Go You Go’s Bright Ideas Challenge

Miss Amanda over at I Go You Go set up a fun styling challenge for some of us bloggers and I must admit I am slightly lacking on this one. Thomas was home all last week with a nasty cold and my total hours of actual sleep were at maybe 15, I was slow to get this together. First I picked out an outfit I found at our local J.Crew store. Found the outfit, most of the accessories, and had an idea of what I wanted to put together. I even tried on a couple of the items. I came home, decided to put it together, and couldn’t find the dress or belt online. Darn. So for interested minds here is what I started with. . .

Wow how uneven do my boobs look in this picture? Yikes, I apologize. I promise it did not look as terrible as it does in these pictures. Also, yes, that is Thomas. The best way to get him outfit shopping is a trip the Lego store. So he is happily checking out his new Lego Hero Factory Ferno and the catalog. He is the best. Simply the coolest little sidekick ever.

So I changed it up since the dress and belt were MIA on the J.Crew site and came up with this pretty little get up:

This dress is the perfect blue with a little bit of skin. Festive, pretty, and simple.

| MAC Lipstick – Myth |Flo Pink Gumdrop Studs | Royal Blue Folded Clutch | Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge | J.Crew Eyelet Dress | Mona Leather Pump |

For me this color palette works well. . . Especially for spring. A bright pink, a bright blue, and a flattering neutral.

Mark your calendars!

My little Etsy shop is taking the next step and participating in an awesome craft festival at the end of this month. Sew Funky Marketplace is a wonderful vintage and handmade market featuring all kinds of paper goods, wedding decors, clothing, home goods, vintage finds, party supplies, and more. Their Spring market is March 31st at the Riverside Marriott. Door open at 9:30 a.m. We are so pumped to be a part of this great day! We are excited to see all of the vendors, obviously, but here are just a couple that caught our eye:

And those are just a few. Seriously the vendor list is amazing! Check it out here. And please don’t forget to come by and say hi!

See you there!

Saja Wedding Gowns

While checking out bridesmaid dresses at Bella Bridesmaid in Corona De Mar this past weekend I spotted a Wedding Gown line called Saja. Each of my bridesmaids and I all looked through the smaller collection offered and gushed about how beautiful each of the dresses were. Flowy, elegant, and delicate would be the best words to describe the collection. Here are a few pieces I am daydreaming about. . .

I am so impressed with the small but gorgeous details presented in each gown. I normally don’t like any wedding gown that is beaded or has sparkle, but this is the first time I have found something I can more than tolerate. Yoo Lee the founder has done an incredible job designing these beautiful pieces. I would love to find a reason to wear a Saja gown. Maybe for the reception?

And now the Bridesmaid Collection, which is equally stunning~

In an array of beautiful colors and styles, the bridesmaids dresses match the ethereal elegance of the wedding gowns. A perfect addition to any soiree.

To find out more about the collection and the company please check out Saja Wedding
