This Italian Villa

SWOON. Seriously, sometimes I don’t know why I live in the US. This Italian Villa is like a little me whispering in my ear “MOVE TO EUROPE”. And I’m like okay, Europe, here I come. Hey family, pack your bags.

Drastic, yes. But I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the Western parts of Europe, From Norway to France. And let me tell you, it is incredible over there. Everything is just incredible. The history, the people, the way of life. Matt and I have had long daydreams, I mean realistic talks, about moving to Sweden or Denmark in a couple of years. Like really, this is our dream and no one can take it away from us, k?

Anyways, the Italian Villa. . .

i love everything about this.

THIS POOL.

That table with this view

Beams. All I need to say is beams.

Do you see what I mean? The materials, the history, the luxury, the oh my goodness it’s like living in a vacation. I don’t think I need to go on.

Dear Italian Villa, my dreams will be full of you tonight. Until tomorrow, when I look at your pictures repeatedly. Love, Me.

Weekend Warmup

Hey hey hey! I feel like it has been a while since I got all excited about the weekend. SO here  I am, warming up for what should be a pretty stellar weekend.

For starters I get to see my amazing sister

This is a picture from our boat ride in Portovenre, Italy. Which I haven’t seen since I was there because JUST this week I finally got out the camera I took. Which had died on the trip home and I never charged. Oops! But doesn’t she look smashing? I think so.

Okay, the story goes on. The reason she is making the drive up is for our trip to LA tomorrow to pick out fabric for my bridesmaid’s dresses? The wonderful Jessi from Jessica Murray Designs is designing and sewing each of the dresses. AMAZING yes? You don’t even know. She is incredibly talented and her drawings have me feeling a bit jealous that I don’t get to be a bridesmaid. So here is a sneak peek at what she has designed. . .

I am really excited to see what the the LA Fabric District is like. And especially dive into all the beautiful colors and fabrics.

My color inspiration board.

Baby Steps

Well I made it back. Barely…

Only kidding ; )

After a truly incredible time touring the heart of Florence, a castle in Tuscany, a small Island off of Portovenre, and the city life of Marseilles I have returned home with so much love, excitement, and happiness. There are so many things I would like to share, but it will have to come in time. There are pictures to sort through and moments to mull over. But to put it shortly, as hard as it was to leave my family for 12 days, spending that time with my sister was more than special. It was once in a lifetime. We could have been anywhere, doing nothing, and sharing that time together would have still be the best. I feel so blessed that I have a sister like her. There are no words to explain how much I love and appreciate her. All I can say is I cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives as sisters and best friends living through life’s adventures.

This about sums up how important every moment is and how special each moment is with my sister by my side.
