Currently Crushing – Wood Herringbone

The sometimes overwhelming search for out own little South Laguna cottage has left me checking listings every day. Every. Single. Day. Which isn’t so bad since it’s part of what I do and it amounts to lots of daydreaming. In my recent search I stumbled on a beautiful little cottage that while not quite financially possible, there’s still dreaming right?  The cottage featured a little detail that I couldn’t get out of my mind, vintage herringbone floors. I spent time dreaming of those beautiful wood floors. So now I’ve been obsessing over gorgeous wood floors dreaming of future home details to keep tucked away.

Herringbone Wood Floors // Could Be InterestingVisually it really gets my creative juices flowing. I love the idea of spending time laying down a wood floor that would hold so many memories for our family. Yes, a floor, it’s crazy to think that a simple (well sort or simple) detail could make a home so special. But in this instance it does.

For years, Justin Timberlake has moved seamlessly between the movie, music, and fashion industries. But today’s announcement of HomeMint, a collection of home goods and art designed and curated by Timberlake and his longtime interior designer, Estee Stanley, brings him into the design world as well. The collection will be available exclusively online at HomeMint.com, to members—who pay a monthly fee of $10 to enjoy discounts and early access to new products—and nonmembers alike.

The line won’t be available to buy until early May, but you can preview the collection and sign up for updates today. To celebrate the new site, Timberlake and Stanley shared images of the pieces from the line and spoke to ELLE DECOR about the collection.

I’d Live Here – East Coast Beach House

This incredible home was designed by Hutker Architects. A architecture and interior design firm based out of Nantucket & Martha’s Vineyard. Lined with wood, harbor views, barn doors, and a sustainable design, this whole house is incredible. I am tempted to pack my bags and spend some time on the East Coast. Almost…

Interior Inspiration

I’ve mentioned how much I love Atlanta Bartlett {before}. With the fiance moving in I had to tone down the lady look going on in my room so I put together a more man friendly bed. To get an idea of what I wanted I had to look no further than my bookshelf. A few years ago Matt got me this book for my birthday and I highly recommend it!

{This} is what I scooped up for the new bed and you can get your own copy {here}

Cool Mill House

Seriously this loft bedroom reminds me of the start of space mountain at Disneyland… In a good way.
