Valentines Day Outfit

So Valentines Day is next week… Do you know what you are wearing? We don’t have any major plans so I will probably be in some workout gear, but that doesn’t mean a girl can’t dream. Mine came in the form of a fabulous lace skirt from Anthro (big surprise there). Anyways here is a flirty little outfit I put together, maybe one of these days I will actually get it on.

Color Me Tangerine

Okay, so we all know by now the fashion color of the year Tangerine Tango. Thanks to the geniuses behind Pantone we have witnessed this color invade the fashion scene. Tangerine Tango is the perfect blend of vibrant orange with hints of a poppy red.

Here are a couple of my favorite pieces in the color. Some of which have already creeped their way into my closet.

Weekend Warmup

Hey hey hey! I feel like it has been a while since I got all excited about the weekend. SO here  I am, warming up for what should be a pretty stellar weekend.

For starters I get to see my amazing sister

This is a picture from our boat ride in Portovenre, Italy. Which I haven’t seen since I was there because JUST this week I finally got out the camera I took. Which had died on the trip home and I never charged. Oops! But doesn’t she look smashing? I think so.

Okay, the story goes on. The reason she is making the drive up is for our trip to LA tomorrow to pick out fabric for my bridesmaid’s dresses? The wonderful Jessi from Jessica Murray Designs is designing and sewing each of the dresses. AMAZING yes? You don’t even know. She is incredibly talented and her drawings have me feeling a bit jealous that I don’t get to be a bridesmaid. So here is a sneak peek at what she has designed. . .

I am really excited to see what the the LA Fabric District is like. And especially dive into all the beautiful colors and fabrics.

My color inspiration board.

I also get to attend the awesome girls night out of Lauren over at A Fabulous Fete! She has an awesome DIY post today. Check it out here

Amazing it shall be.

Happy Weekend!

Ringing my bell…

Sooooo we watch Revenge. Do you? We kind of love it. It is the perfect accessory for wine Wednesdays. Yes that is a thing, in my head. Anyways, while doing some random googling, of what kind we don’t remember. We stumbled upon Ashley Madekwe‘s fashion blog Ring My Bell.

Jaw drops. Not only is she gorgeous, but she has drool worthy taste. AND don’t forget that accent. We kind of want to know her. No big deal.

So after some serious blog stalking. We mean reading, we have the newest addition to our google reader. And we think you will want to do the same.

Here is just a sample of all the fun Ashley has going on over at Ring My Bell. . .

Ya so. Have fun.

Makes me want to jump over to the Greek Isles and spend a few days at

1864 The Sea Captain’s House in Santorini.

A bit about the Sea Captain

First off, it has four rooms. Yes you heard that correctly, 4 exquisite, private, beautiful rooms located in the most incredible spot in Santorini, Oia.

“That means jacuzzis in every suite, for one, and an approach to decorating that goes beyond the stripped-down Greek-island norm — there are hints of the baroque in these bedrooms, with their antique woodwork and gilded mirrors. It’s all in the name of character, though, rather than pure flash; the scale of the place prevents it ever feeling over-opulent. Dine in, if you’re in the mood for some privacy, or book a table at one of the owners’ two village restaurants, if you prefer a more sociable stay.”

Please, seriously, take me there now. I don’t even need the shoes.

Book your next stay compliments of Tablet. Hotels.

Is it okay to start saving for a trip after the honeymoon?

Spring Fun for I Go You Go’s Bright Ideas Challenge

Miss Amanda over at I Go You Go set up a fun styling challenge for some of us bloggers and I must admit I am slightly lacking on this one. Thomas was home all last week with a nasty cold and my total hours of actual sleep were at maybe 15, I was slow to get this together. First I picked out an outfit I found at our local J.Crew store. Found the outfit, most of the accessories, and had an idea of what I wanted to put together. I even tried on a couple of the items. I came home, decided to put it together, and couldn’t find the dress or belt online. Darn. So for interested minds here is what I started with. . .

Wow how uneven do my boobs look in this picture? Yikes, I apologize. I promise it did not look as terrible as it does in these pictures. Also, yes, that is Thomas. The best way to get him outfit shopping is a trip the Lego store. So he is happily checking out his new Lego Hero Factory Ferno and the catalog. He is the best. Simply the coolest little sidekick ever.

So I changed it up since the dress and belt were MIA on the J.Crew site and came up with this pretty little get up:

This dress is the perfect blue with a little bit of skin. Festive, pretty, and simple.

| MAC Lipstick – Myth |Flo Pink Gumdrop Studs | Royal Blue Folded Clutch | Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge | J.Crew Eyelet Dress | Mona Leather Pump |

For me this color palette works well. . . Especially for spring. A bright pink, a bright blue, and a flattering neutral.

Tuesday

Happppppy March! Can you believe it is already here. I am excited and admittedly a bit stressed. This month will be crazy. Today we are heading to The Cream Event. Then Bridesmaid dresses this weekend (more on that later), a baby shower next weekend, and a craft festival at the end of the month. So today I am dreaming of the summer time, long days at the beach, the feeling of sand in between your toes, sipping on a glass of light wine at sunset, and Matt being done with his Masters program!

Here & Here

How about you? What are you thinking about on the first day of March?
