Girls Night @ Amanda’s

Dear Amanda,

Have I mentioned how much I adore you? Because I do.

Love,

Emily.

A fun girls night attended last week was something wonderful. Just saying. . . See it all HERE

Ringing my bell…

Sooooo we watch Revenge. Do you? We kind of love it. It is the perfect accessory for wine Wednesdays. Yes that is a thing, in my head. Anyways, while doing some random googling, of what kind we don’t remember. We stumbled upon Ashley Madekwe‘s fashion blog Ring My Bell.

Jaw drops. Not only is she gorgeous, but she has drool worthy taste. AND don’t forget that accent. We kind of want to know her. No big deal.

So after some serious blog stalking. We mean reading, we have the newest addition to our google reader. And we think you will want to do the same.

Here is just a sample of all the fun Ashley has going on over at Ring My Bell. . .

Ya so. Have fun.

& We’re Back… Sort of.

It’s been a while. We took a sort of unexpected vacation from the blog. It’s been nice to have some time to do other things, but let’s face it, we miss you guys. We are going to take the weekend to gather, inspire, and plan. Then it’s back to bringing you guys the goods.

Hope everything is absolutely fabulous :) Thanks for being patient!

Have a lovely weekend. See you soon! xo

Wedded Wednesday: The Appy Couple

Have you heard of The Appy Couple? I stumbled upon the beta app a couple of months ago and immediately put in a request to get the app once it was released. Though it is still in it’s newer stage and working out some kinks the overall idea of the app is fabulous.

The Appy Couple gives you the ability to create, design, and share your own site/app with your wedding party and guests. Including the details of the event; ceremony, reception, bridal party, groomsmen, registry, your story, and tons more details. You can then upload a guest list and email out a link to the app. That way all of your wedding attendees can keep up to date on the wedding activities and more. Pretty amazing right?

I spent a couple days messing around with it and so far I am impressed. Here are a couple previews of what I have put together so far…

The first picture is a preview of one of the pages on our website and the second is a preview of the app.  Once you have set up your own site you can share it with all of the guests you choose. You have your own login code so the site can be as private as you want.

I will share more about our experience and more about our wedding site as soon as I can add more information and all that.

But if you are a bride and looking for a unique way to keep your guests in the loop check out

Sneak Peek!

Head on over to one of my new favorite blogs by my new favorite blogger Amy!

Amy from This Heart of Mine asked me to participate in a blogger collaboration. I loved her idea of using the beginning of Spring. So I threw together a couple of fun ideas for some Spring inspiration.

I hope you check it all out {here}

We’re off to a last minute trip to Ohio to visit Matt’s family. Have a lovely weekend and thank you again, Amy!

XOXO

Mark your calendars!

My little Etsy shop is taking the next step and participating in an awesome craft festival at the end of this month. Sew Funky Marketplace is a wonderful vintage and handmade market featuring all kinds of paper goods, wedding decors, clothing, home goods, vintage finds, party supplies, and more. Their Spring market is March 31st at the Riverside Marriott. Door open at 9:30 a.m. We are so pumped to be a part of this great day! We are excited to see all of the vendors, obviously, but here are just a couple that caught our eye:

Amarilo Designs

Inspire Lovely

Lillybug Lane

And those are just a few. Seriously the vendor list is amazing! Check it out here. And please don’t forget to come by and say hi!

See you there!

Have you pre-ordered your copy of Once Wed?

Once Wed is releasing their first ever magazine and it is going to be ahhhhmazing. 138 pages of beautiful weddings & everything that comes along with the wonderfulness that is Once Wed. Can you imagine? I mean this must be one of the most exciting things a bride or any wedding related person would want. I mean just the cover image by Jose Villa makes me giddy. He is SOOO incredible.

I have already pre-ordered my copy and you should definitely get your own. Start by going {here}

By the way have I told you that next week is going to be the bee’s knees yet? I am heading over to not only the Utterly Engaged Leap Year Party, but just bought a ticket to The Cream. Yup next week is going to ROCK in all kinds of ways.

Dear Kat @ Dot Dot Dash

I think you are LOVERLY. I cannot thank you enough for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger Award. I am blown away and incredibly grateful.

Dot Dot Dash is an awesome place to get inspiration for all kinds of goodies. Kat seems like a truly wonderful person, although I have only met her through social media, I am glad I have!

So here is goes it…

7 random facts about me:

  • I played soccer from ages 3 to 18. I almost played in college but burnt out. Some days I miss it, alot.
  • My favorites snacks are ranch flavored sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds from Trader Joe’s.
  • I come from a long line of Germans, Norwegians, and Swedish. Something I am very proud of and I have actually had the opportunity to visit my ancestors home in Norway. Seriously amazing.
  • One day my family and I plan on moving to another country. So far the options are Ireland & Sweden. Seeing a trend here?
  • I have the awkward tendency to snort when I laugh.
  • I haven’t worn eyeliner in probably 8 years. Maybe more.
  • I currently have around 5 pairs of heels in my closet that have never been worn. Sad right? I buy these adorable shoes and never wear them. I think about wearing them, then somehow talk myself out of it. It makes no sense, yet still it happens.

Reading that makes me giggle. It sounds insane, but it was the best I could come up with.

Now for some other Versatile Bloggers. I have recently added tons of blogs to my google reader. So here are some of my new faves.

The deets:

  1. In a post on your blog, nominate 7 fellow bloggers for The Versatile Blogger Award. In the same post, add the Versatile Blogger Award.
  2. In the same post, thank the blogger who nominated you in a post with a link back to their blog.
  3. In the same post, share 7 completely random pieces of information about yourself.
  4. In the same post, include this set of rules.
  5. Inform each nominated blogger of their nomination by posting a comment on each of their blogs
